FLORAL
Summer in Provincetown is a symphony of hydrangeas, cottage roses, lilies and dahlias. How can one not be moved by the poetry of flowers? Painting florals is very weighted. Rather than struggle against Van Gogh’s Sunflowers or Monet’s water lilies, I paint as part of the grand tradition, carrying it forward in a contemporary context.
